Using the Timer

1. Select a Preset Interval: Click on one of the interval rows (e.g., Night 1: 2, 4, 6 minutes). Select an interval to start the timer.
2. Enter a Custom Interval: Type the desired number of minutes in the custom input field and click "Start Custom."
3. Monitor the Timer: The timer will display the remaining time. Wait until it reaches zero before intervening.
4. Resume Automatically: If the page is reloaded or reopened, the timer will pick up where it left off.
5. End of Timer: A notification will alert you when it’s time to check on your baby.

Editing Settings: Expand the "Edit Settings" section below to change the sleep cue, end timer notification, and interval schedule. Your changes will be saved and remembered for future visits.

Sleep Training Instructions

1. Getting Started: Place your baby in their crib and say a consistent sleep cue. Leave the room once they are settled.
2. When the Baby Cries: Start the timer using the selected interval. Wait until the timer ends before re-entering the room.
3. Check and Soothe: When the timer ends, enter the room briefly to reassure your baby (1–2 minutes max). Avoid overstimulation. Gradually reduce interventions over a few days.
4. Restart the Timer: If your baby continues crying, leave the room and start the next interval timer. Repeat the process until they fall asleep.
5. Adjust Intervals Each Night: Increase the waiting time gradually each night to encourage independent sleep.

Notes

- Restart the timer if your baby stops crying for more than 30 seconds.
- Avoid picking up your baby unless absolutely necessary. If you must, keep interactions calming and brief.
- Consistency is key! Use the same approach for a few days to see results.
